PRAYER REQUESTS 9/16/03
BECKA: r- pray that Becka makes tryouts for her dance team recital; p- for all the youth leaders
MECHOLAH: r- pray that her brother Trey stpos having nose bleeds; p- she is going to be able to spend time with her friends this weekend
CHEY: r- pray that Cheryl has a good weekend at work and her anger towards the big boss lady begins to subside; p- her aunts and parents are going out of town which will give her some quite time
MAGIC FINGERS (BRIAN): p- he had the best strawberry smoothie EVER at school on 9/16/03; r- pray that God helps Brian with his perfectionism
BOOGER: r- pray that the family vacation she is about to go on is fun and everyone gets along; p- for her family
STEPH: r- pray for Steph's friend Jennifer who has leukemia; p- God is helping her to do her best in athletics
LACEY: p- had an awesome weekend with her freinds and family; r- pray that her allergies get better
DESI: p- God's been showing me things in my life that i need to change in order to grow; r- that God gives me the courage and strength to face and work through things from my past
CARLOS: p- he's learning how to be quite and still with God; r- pray that God helps him work on his character
JOHN: p-his band was able to raise funds to get studio time; r- pray that his band makes good use of the studio time
SHANE: r- pray for Shane's cousin David who just got engaged. pray that God blesses the engagement; p- DAvid and his fiance are coming in town this weekend
CHRIS: r- pray for his work partner Laura; p-the weird white van that was parked outide of Walmart wasn't a bomb, it was a huge drug bust instead
BLAKE: p- for his wonderful girlfriend; r- pray that Blake and his best friend can go to New Orleans for Halloween
HELEN: p-she had an awesome and safe trip to College Station; r- pray that Helen has a great time with family and friends at the ACL festival
ANDY: pray that Andy continues to make a bunch of great friends and that he let's us know how he's doing sometime soon

PRAYER REQUESTS 9/9/03
STEPH: r-pray that Leslie the girl in the neighborhood would leave her alone and that they would come to a peaceful resolution, pray that school continues to go well this year, pray that God gives Steph the strength to do what she knows is right instead of following along with the rest of the crowd
BOOGER (SHELLY): r- pray that she will her and obey God, continue to pray for Amy and her brothers; p- for friends in CrossRoads, for God working in her life, and for her best friend Steph
CHERYL: p- for new best friend Helen, that she got her bracellette back; r- pray that she will be able to go to Hilton Head with her friend
LIZ: r-pray that she will start to realize what God wants her to do; p- yogurt makes her cat very happy
LACEY: p-her parents are coming this weekend; r- pray for her brother and his new faith, pray that she will be able to be more productive especially at school
BEKKA: r- dance team is getting very demanding pray that she will be able to continue to be apart of the team without burning out; p- her niece is in town
JOHN: p-got a letter from UT asking him to consider applying, he found a new lead singer for his band; r- pray that the new lead singer works out, pray that he will be able to get good grades even though his classes are very hard, pray that Josh does well in his new adventure, pray for success for Andy and that he will make a new best friend in CrossRoads
HELEN: p- her week has been great so far, for an awesome time with Cheryl and Bekka on Saturday, we are not in Arkansas anymore!!; r- for Blake to feel better, for a safe trip to college station this weekend by herself, and that her sis in law and her bro have a safe vacation
BLAKE: pray that Blake recovers from his illness quickly and that he will be able to join us next Tuesday!
DESI: p- God is so Awesome and for all the amazing things He has been doing in my life and in other peoples lives; r- pray that God helps me to keep my number one focus on Him and not on anything else, for peace and rest

ABE: p- his haircut went well, he finally knows what he is doing in calculus, he's been effectively communicating with his parents lately; r- that the vandals in his neighborhood are caught, for continued success in calculus, and for his new amp to arrive safely
CARLOS: p - he's going back to school for his teacher certification; r- pray for his relationship with GAteway's youth that it will be strengthened without him having to yell and scream, pray for a possible new relationship with mystery girl, pray that his finacial part of returning to school is taken care of

SMALL GROUP PRAYER REQUESTS 9/02/03
LIZ: r- that she'll find a job; p- that two of her friends are realizing that they have feelings for each other
NACHO (BRIAN): p-he's getting his car fixed, that he emailed carlos this week, that he's in magicals; r- pray that he can raise the $ to get his car fixed and that there are tons of lawns for him to mow in Austin, that he does well in pre-cal and is able to find the necessary help to be successful in the class, pray that Carlos doesn't go crazy again
ABE: r- for opportunites to play in the CrossRoads band, to grow frienships with others in CrossRoads, and to for opportunites to meet new people that he can be a good influence to; p- that Steve ( Abe's bro) brought him to Gateway and to CrossRoads
CHEY: r- continue to pray that Andy continues to adjust well to college, that she starts to feel better, and that school starts to become better and not so horrible; p- that her aunt has been given the opportunity to go to Pennsylvania for three weeks, that her friend just moved to good ole SAn Antonio, and that she has been able to work a lot and save money to go to Michigan during Christmas
JOSH: p-for meeting new friends at Walmart; r- that Josh will be given wisdom on how to be a good friend to his new co-workers and that he will make an impact on them and be able to share God with those who do not know God yet
THE GODFATHER (CARLOS): p-Todd and JEn are getting married this weekend YEA!!!!, for CrossRoads; r- that the youth in small group will be able to stay on topic, that BRian will get his card this week- answered prayer!, and for the end of the economic recession
DESI: p- for being able to be apart of CrossRoads and for being able to watch God grow in the lives of such incredible teens (i am in complete awe of what God is doing in ya'lls lives); r- that I am faithful to what God wants me to do and that I don't let my own doubts and fears stop me
SHANE: p- for a great mareaige to Lacey, for a great job, and for health and happiness; r- pray that his dad's company starts to do better, pray that Shanes business really starts to take off and grow
COLTON: r- pray that Steph gets better and that Josh does awesome at the new store
JOHN: p- mom passed her first final in school, the music on Sunday morning was rockin!; r- that school will be over soon, for mom to continue to do well in school, for band to find a new singer while keeping Rex till they find a new one, and that he will be able to pay for bartending school
MECHALAH: p- for everyone in CrossRoads and for her family; r- for her friend Edward who is going through tough times right now
BOOGER ( SHELLY ): R- for continued growth on her walk with God and that her friendship with her b-friend in Nacodoches is restored; p- that her week has been going well so far
JACK: r- that his relationship with Ashley will continue to go well ( he passed the first week yeah! ); p- Jack got into PAL's congrats JACK!!!
HELEN: r- that the amount of stress inflicted by her mom and by school is decreased, that her relationships with other studetns in CrossRoads continue to grow, and that she gets into A&M; p- for small groups, that even though her job can stink sometimes that she at least is blessed to have a job, and that her relaiotnship with Blake is continuing to grow
BLAKE: r- that God continues to grow in his relationship with Helen and grows them closer together, for success in his Spanish class, and for less stress at work; p- for the new connections he is making, for his awesome girlfriend Helen, and for church and his new friends

HEY ANDY!
Glad to hear that Tech is treating you well. Isn't God awesome?! He uses all kinds of things to draw us to where He wants us even our hunger. The Intervarsity Christian Fellowship sounds awesome. You can't go wrong with a Christian organization that plays ultimate frisbee!
How is everything else going? Are your classes good? Any crazy teachers? Brian seems to have the most interesting teachers of all.
Nothing too exciting has happened here. We had a hopeful youth pastor come and give the service on Sunday. He's awesome!! Hopefully we'll have a hired youth pastor before long. Your sister and a couple other girls in our group shaving creamed Josh's and my car on Saturday night when we were at the church hanging out. The girls are so artistic! You would have been a proud older brother. We'll miss you tonight at small group! I'm praying for you!!
